About Me
Hi, I’m Zak. I’m a 3D artist and a passionate player of video games. From the moment my mum and dad bought me a pre-owned Mega Drive back in the early nineties I knew that I wanted to make games. I studied the games industry at college and completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Games Technology at Portsmouth University. Now I work full-time as a 3D artist at Nautilus International, producing real-time military simulations using video game technology.
My ambition is to build a career developing fun and exciting games with a creative blend of art and code. I’m always interested to see how developers have built the game I’m playing. I got my first taste of game development creating maps for Duke Nukem 3D and Half-Life 2. During my time at university I took part in three Game Jam competitions as a 3D artist – and we took home some awards too!
Please have a look at my portfolio below to see some of the projects I’ve worked on.
Note: Due to the sensitive nature of my military simulation job I am unable to show any of the projects I have worked on during my time there.
